Born in the market town of Hereford, I moved to London at the tender age of 16 to work with NatWest Bank in the West End of London. In living next to the banks sports ground I played sport daily and despite my now increasing waistline I can assure you that back in the day I was a keen and active sportsman, primarily rugby and squash. Now that I am in my fifties and sport has taken more of a backseat I am a keen chess and scrabble player.
Coming from a farming background, animals and in particular birds, have been my love and since my mid twenties I have throughout enjoyed my bird keeping hobby, keeping a variety of birds in particular specialising in the dainty breed of ‘Fife’ Canary to champion exhibitor standard.
I am a family man, Jackie and I have four children whom we hope will soon fledge!
